My day job is organising events for international clients in all parts of the world - if only I could have a “Mikel” in every city !. He has contacts everywhere and can organise anything …. Just ask him!! Boats, surfing, chefs, vineyards ….he’s local San Sebastián born & bred Basque boy.

Mikel made my trip to San Sebastián fun and memorable. His warm, friendly energy made it feel like I was exploring the city with a local friend who knows all the best spots to eat, drink, and surf. I booked the Basque Day experience, and Mikel tailored the perfect day just for me. It included a one on one surf lesson and honestly I was a bit nervous at first, but he quickly put me at ease and helped me catch some waves with confidence. After surfing, we explored some hidden gems and met amazing locals, which was exactly the kind of experience I was hoping for. I’ll definitely be back for more Basque Roots adventures. We spent 3 days in San Sebastián and were so lucky to have Mikel as our guide. San Sebastián, yet not a large city has much more to offer. Starting at food tours, thru sandy beaches formed for adventurous windsurfers up to one-of-kind sightseeings. All this discovered & enjoyed thanks to Mikel. If you wish to feel like home in San Sebastián, Mikel will make you so. Highly recommended.
